I translate my interest and fascination with classic automobiles into

compelling compositions.
Each one relies on the principles of balance, value, and movement. 

They are not so much documents of a car in a particular moment as they are line 

compositions that satisfy my investigations of the edges of each painting.

The abstract paintings allow me to translate the principles of art 

and design I teach in my college classrooms. Each painting expresses 

movement and color through dynamic line and composition.
